Obliq Intelligence is a B2B self-service platform that delivers insights from talent data, built for companies in Asia.
We help businesses make better decisions by showing how companies are hiring, growing, and changing—across job titles, industries, and regions.

3. Our Founders & Story
We started Obliq after realizing how little reliable workforce data existed for Asian companies. While working in fixed-income & financial product analytics and later alternative data science, Deokgyun (co-founder) saw firsthand how outdated or low-quality insights often led to missed opportunities. We believed better decisions start with quality data—so we set out to build the data platform we wished we had.

My primary expertise and focus was on financial analytics for fixed-income markets. Between 2012-2013, some hedge funds in London started building experimental teams for Twitter sentiment analysis models that later turned out to improve their Information Ratio (IR) for portfolio performance. Then my focus primarily widened to alternative data analytics whilst working for leading global advisory and research companies in the U.K. Europe and North America across the globe at places like Bloomberg and Gartner - focusing on Talent & Corporate Intelligence Enterprise Platforms.

Bo kyoung (Co-founder)
Hi, I'm Bo. I spent over a decade working as a tax consultant at EY in the U.S., during a time when technology was transforming entire industries—yet accounting remained mostly untouched. That contrast stuck with me. When I met Deokgyun and was introduced to the world of alternative data, something clicked. I was fascinated by how much insight can come from everyday information, if you know where to look.

4. Partnership
A global premier venture capital founder ‘Jea Huh’ at N15PARTNERS decided to join our project in late 2024 upon a meeting of minds, advising us navigate global fundraising and capital markets.
Currently, sitting on the board as the Senior Partner at Draper Startup House in Seoul, our partner continues to support our new venture from the very beginning of our journey.
We have also signed strategic venture partnership agreements with a portfolio media company to streamline our global news & conference offerings in the coming months.
