Role Description
As a Senior Web Application Front-end Developer, you will be a core member of the development team, providing key development support for our web application by taking ownership of the frontend functional areas. We practice an agile, highly customer focused, and learning-based approach to product development. You bring not only strong experience, but also a passion for translating those skills into business impact for our customers. Specifically, you will have the opportunity to:
- Provide expert level advice on multiple technologies across core projects.
- Provide feedback on requirements from a technical perspective and provide estimates for user stories and tasks.
- Author technical design documents.
- Refactor design and implementation for stories owned, based on requirement changes.
- Define and maintain coding standards and guide team members to comply with these standards.
- Collaborate with other engineers to fix defects.
- Investigate and find the root cause for software problems reported by clients.
- Assist with client onboarding and troubleshoot periodic data issues.
- Develop tools to automate frequent manual tasks.
- Work with more senior team members to continuously improve our engineering practices.
Qualifications
- Front-End Development and Responsive Web Design skills
- Minimum 6 years (ideally 6-10 years) of progressive experience in Web Application Development.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or an equivalent experience from a coding school, technical college or a bootcamp.
- Preferably strong knowledge of statically type safe languages/paradigms in React, Typescript. Alternatively strong knowledge of comparable languages.
- Preferably strong knowledge of dynamically typed languages/paradigms.
- Knowledge of DevOps and/or CI/CD pipelines, how to use, extend and maintain.
- Knowledge of Agile Software Development and SDLC best practices and capability to adapt to adapted processes in place.
- Ability to translate a given design into a webpage with HTML, CSS, JavaScript. Knowledge of UI/UX, Figma is a plus.
- Code Versioning, concretely GIT.
- Ideally, strong experience in building trading platforms with sophisticated graphical visuals, SaaS-based dashboard products and quantitative market metrics.
- You are encouraged to share your commercial portfolios in the application.
- Proven experience building SaaS products, especially benchmark, indexation, financial trading or other analytical web applications.
- Fluency in any South East Asian language a strong plus (Bahasa Indonesia, Thai, Vietnamese, Malay) plus Japanese/Chinese/Korean.
